Rockhampton Nursing Opportunity

This permanent nursing position is available in a large friendly, family orientated private General Medical practice located centrally in Rockhampton city centre.

  • The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and have experience working with GP Chronic Condition Management Plans and Health Assessments.

Duties will include all aspects of General Practice nursing including but not limited to:

  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Immunisations: including childhood, employment, travel, and COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Wound care
  • Patient triage
  • Sterilisation and infection control implementation
  • Diagnostics required for Employment and Aviation Medicals
  • General Treatment room duties
  • Cold Chain management

The successful candidate will be expected to work both autonomously and collaboratively to deliver great patient care and must hold AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Flexible hours are available between the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

The practice has been caring for the Rockhampton community since 1959 and offers modern facilities and a wide range of general medical and specialised services. This opportunity may also be eligible for support and financial assistance through Health Workforce Queensland's comprehensive workforce attraction and retention incentives.

Salary Information:
$38 - $45 per hour + superannuation.
