Operations Supervisor Job Description

The Operations Supervisor will lead a team of associates in shipping and distribution of parts throughout the country to customers.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform supervisory duties for assigned team members, including conducting performance reviews, overseeing development, documenting attendance, submitting payroll information, and issuing corrective action.
  • Assist in inventory control procedures, implement warehouse processes, and maintain quality standards.
  • Develop and implement performance measurements, audit processes to evaluate operations efficiency and quality, and ensure accurate material handling and packaging.
  • Manage shipments and deliveries, use software to create shipping labels and schedule pickups, and oversee part preparation and packaging equipment.
  • Train team members to operate basic and advanced warehouse vehicles and assess cost and performance of current and alternative warehouse procedures.
Requirements
  • At least 4-5 years job-related experience, including knowledge of packing and shipping process, and 1 year team lead or supervisory experience.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred for leadership roles.
