The Workshop Manager is a critical role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow and achievement of performance objectives.
  • Repair Coordination: Plan, prioritize, and coordinate repair jobs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor workshop technicians with ongoing training, support ensuring high-quality output.
  • Maintenance Management: Monitor equipment maintenance, including spare parts inventory management.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers particularly for spare parts & order management.
  • Compliance: Work with compliance to set reporting programs that assist with COR and compliance activity.
  • Safety Standards: Implement and uphold safety standards, conducting regular risk assessments and incident reporting.
  • Financial Management: Manage workshop budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in MHE fleet maintenance, workshop management, or a related field.
  • Prior Experience: Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter or advisor is essential
  • Qualifications: Trade qualification in heavy mechanical maintenance (is a must).
  • Expertise: Strong expertise in maintenance planning, cost control, and compliance.
  • Troubleshooting: Hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with strong stakeholder management abilities.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a positive, hands-on approach.
