The position of Nurse Unit Manager plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and driving strategic growth within the healthcare organization.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire their team members.

  • Lead the nursing team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes and satisfaction ratings.
  • Develop and implement effective workforce management strategies to optimize team performance.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the nursing team.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to inform data-driven decision making.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Clinical experience as a nurse – 5 years nursing with at least 3 years Medical Oncology experience.
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
  • Strong commitment to quality patient care.
