Key Role: Oncology Nurse Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of nurses and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Manager to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the nursing team to meet the needs of the organization's strategy, vision, and values. This involves providing advanced Oncology nursing knowledge and skills, leadership, and effective communication to ensure a positive engaged workforce and appropriate resource management to ensure all aspects of legislation are addressed.

The Oncology Nurse Manager will have an excellent understanding of current trends, research, and policies in Oncology Nursing. They will work with other leaders to ensure evidence-based best practice guidelines are applied.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Nursing Leadership and Workforce Management
  • Excel in Clinical Service Planning and Management
  • Set Performance Goals with the Team and Enable These to Be Achieved
  • Actively Support and Champion Organizational Initiatives to Improve Culture, Quality, Efficiency, and Effectiveness
  • Participate in the Recruitment and Selection of the Nursing Team
  • Drive and Lead the Implementation of Project Initiatives
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
  • Clinical Experience as a Nurse – 5 Years Nursing with at Least 3 Years Medical Oncology Experience
  • Demonstrated Clinical Knowledge and the Ability to Apply Relevant Legislation, Guidelines, and Standards
  • Exemplary Interpersonal and Communication Skills, with an Ability to Demonstrate Empathy for Patients and Their Carers
  • Well-Developed Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Commitment to the Application of Quality Improvement and Best Practice Principles, Including the NSQHS
