The Medical Oncology Clinical Trials Unit at Westmead Hospital is a leading centre in cancer research, committed to advancing treatments and improving patient outcomes. With over 150 active trials, you will be part of a dynamic, collaborative team driving innovation in oncology.

This pivotal role requires an experienced clinical nurse consultant with expertise in oncology nursing, to provide expert clinical care, oversight, education, and support to trial patients and their carers. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing patient-centred care, from referrals to treatment plans for oncology trial participants
  • Overseeing treatment workflows and developing clinical plans for trial participants
  • Performing specialised oncology nursing procedures, such as chemotherapy infusion and cannulation
  • Mentoring and supervising research nurses, ensuring quality, compliance, and improvement in care
  • Collaborating with clinical staff and Principal Investigators to coordinate care and assess new trial feasibility

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 5 years' full-time equivalent post-registration experience in Oncology Nursing, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
