Supporting Vulnerable Individuals

This is a challenging and rewarding role where you will be working with young men, women, and families who are homeless or at risk of experiencing homelessness.
As an Accommodation Support Professional, you will play a pivotal role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for all residents residing within the refuge setting. You will work in a manner consistent to the expectations of the Journey to Independence Model and that follows the framework of a Psychologically Informed Environment.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all residents.
- Work in a Psychologically Informed Environment following the Journey to Independence Model.
- Assist residents to manage and maintain individual and shared living spaces.
- Complete comprehensive intake and risk assessment for all refuge clients.
- Maintain accurate record keeping that meets legislative standards.
- Ensure the safe management of the crisis accommodation program.
- Orient residents into the expectations of the Journey to Independence Model.
- Work to case management plans assisting young people to attend appointments.
- Assist residents with life skills preparation and health and hygiene practices.
- Contribute to daily cleaning and maintenance of the refuge environment.
