Role Overview

The Housing Services Officer role plays a vital part in a network of community workers and organizations that work together to support vulnerable individuals promote their wellbeing.

This position is based in offices across the state, focusing on providing housing advice and assistance. Responsibilities may include:

  • Offering support and information on available services
  • Identifying and assessing Victorians' housing needs and eligibility for services

Key Responsibilities

The Housing Services Officer will be responsible for:

  • Assessing clients' needs and providing comprehensive advice on suitable housing options from established policy, procedures, and standards
  • Making appropriate referrals to internal or external support service providers to assist clients with short-term housing needs
  • Utilizing influence, negotiation, and logical persuasion skills when dealing with clients and stakeholders on all housing matters

Working Requirements
