Operational Logistics Coordinator Job Description:

The Operational Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in the ongoing development of operational ability in Cell & Gene Therapy logistics, ensuring high levels of customer service, commerciality, quality, and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure timely delivery of Cell & Gene shipments.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate logistical risks.
  3. Monitor and analyze shipment performance data to optimize logistics processes.
  4. Liaise with Control Tower Coordinators to coordinate cell and gene shipments.
  5. Utilize technology to enhance monitoring, management, and control of shipments.
  6. Arrange and coordinate shipment solutions with LSPs, Branches, and Depots.
  7. Prepare, place, control, and arrange packaging, equipment, and trained operatives according to Cell & Gene project specifications or SOPs.
  8. Coordinate and dispatch drivers for collections and deliveries, ensuring they are on time and adhere to clients' expectations regarding documentation and GDP requirements.
  9. Ensure trade compliance for all Import and Export shipments by working with the regulatory team.
  10. Book shipments with Airlines and Integrator to ensure best routing solutions for all Cell & Gene shipments.
  11. Evaluate proper handling and storage of all Cell & Gene shipments with Airlines and Ground handling facilities.
  12. Label and prepare shipments for Export, ensuring that a driver is dispatched to meet the airline cut-off time for international shipments.
  13. Ensure Maestro system performance compliance with all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones for all Cell & Gene shipments.
  14. Send pre-alerts to all Cell & Gene shipments with Marken branches and local service providers, ensuring communication to confirm receipt of the pre-alert and shipment instructions.
  15. Perform pre- and post-flight shipment checks and communicate with airlines and handling agents in case of delays or off-loads.
  16. Escalate any issues or delays to the Cell & Gene Management Team.
