We are seeking a seasoned Business Relationship Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the insurance industry.
You will work collaboratively with underwriting, claims, and credit teams to deliver exceptional customer service, support, and issue resolution. Your primary objective will be to drive GWP retention, profitable growth, and broker satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain operational relationships with key staff in broker panel offices.
- Establish SMART objectives and related activities that focus on retention, growth, and satisfaction.
- Coordinate and prioritize activities to maximize outcomes.
- Resolve broker queries and requests, delivering responsive quality outcomes that consider both broker and internal needs, objectives, and constraints.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through prospecting.
As a Business Relationship Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Becoming an integral part of the underwriting, claims, and credit teams, working closely with them to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of each broker's business, identifying areas of opportunity and potential challenges.
- Working collaboratively with the teams to establish and achieve commercial business plans and strategies with SMART objectives and activities.
- Providing proactive support and guidance to brokers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and information to succeed.
- Monitoring and analyzing performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in insurance or a related field, preferably with a successful track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective business plans and strategies, with a focus on driving growth, retention, and satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with brokers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Familiarity with the insurance broking market and its key players, with a deep understanding of the industry's trends and developments.
