About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Spiritual Care Specialist to provide holistic support and guidance to our community aged care clients in the Canberra Region.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in spiritual care, pastoral leadership, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing person-centred care that aligns with our organisational values and principles.
  • Active involvement in and recommendation from a local faith community.
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably within a multi-disciplinary team setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • To visit clients in their homes, or in hospital, and deliver high-quality spiritual care that is tailored to their unique needs and preferences.
  • To develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders, fostering a sense of trust and collaboration.
  • To create safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces that promote a sense of community and belonging among clients.
  • To uphold the dignity and autonomy of all clients, respecting their individuality and cultural backgrounds.
