Claims Service Consultant Level 1 Job Opportunity

This position requires the individual to follow established claims management processes and adhere to company standards in order to minimize claim costs. The ideal candidate will possess up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation affecting claims management and apply sound decision-making skills throughout the claim's lifecycle.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing expectations and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as building and maintaining positive working relationships within the team and broader business unit. They will also ensure compliance with relevant regulations and provide timely, effective responses to customer needs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage claims from initiation to resolution
  • Conduct thorough investigations and assessments to determine claim validity
  • Determine appropriate compensation or settlement for valid claims
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions with customers and stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in legislation that may impact claims management
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience: Proven experience in claims management, preferably in a similar industry or sector
  • Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications in a field such as insurance, law, or business
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in claims management software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications
