Role Overview

The Director of Asset Management will be instrumental in shaping market strategies and ensuring the effective delivery of projects. This role involves close collaboration with the Technical Director on partnership strategies and requires strong engagement with the practice supply chain. The Director will also work in conjunction with SNC Lavalin's global market leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for establishing trusted, sustainable relationships with clients.
  • Promote best practices and a cutting-edge approach to Asset Management Principles across various sectors.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of the annual business strategy.
  • Identify and mitigate portfolio risks.
  • Act as Project Director when necessary.
  • Ensure a systematic approach to project reviews based on risk assessments.
  • Manage successful bidding processes to maintain a sustainable work pipeline.
  • Lead and develop our market proposition and thought leadership in collaboration with our Win Work teams.
  • Ensure compliance with SNC Lavalin's bidding processes and governance standards.
  • Analyze market trends and foster innovation in services and technical methodologies to build a resilient organization.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing abilities.
  • Extensive experience in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) or Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects, particularly during construction and operational phases.
  • Proven track record in negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Experience in developing and managing bids and their governance.
  • Strong understanding of contractual, commercial, and project delivery aspects, including large-scale, complex projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience in project portfolio management.
  • Ability to lead and support diverse teams in bid and project delivery.
  • Detail-oriented with strong numerical skills, capable of combining experience with analytical thinking.
  • Robust background in the infrastructure sector, particularly with privately financed projects.
  • Experience in sectors such as Road, Rail, Water, Defence, Power, and Renewables is highly desirable.
  • Relevant Asset Management certifications, including Certified Asset Management Assessor.
  • Experience in various roles across the project lifecycle, including Client, Contractor, Operator, and Consultant.
