The Opportunity

This stand-alone position will report directly to the Finance Manager and offers the chance to manage staff as the business expands. Key responsibilities include preparing weekly and monthly reports for various business units and corporate cost centres.

  • Prepare journal entries to ensure P&L and Balance Sheet accuracy.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and address review matters promptly.

This role requires strong financial reporting and decision support skills, partnering closely with the business to deliver results. Key tasks include preparing monthly financial reports, overseeing IFRS16 / Lease Accounting, and assisting with Statutory Accounts preparation.

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this challenging role, you will possess:

  • CA/CPA qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar finance role.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Audit or strong financial accounting background highly regarded.

You will be responsible for identifying and developing efficient processes, including the roll-out of new ERP systems. A focus on compliance with corporate accounting and financial policies is also essential. In addition to your technical expertise, you should demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, particularly in upskilling a team of finance professionals.

Salary and Benefits

We estimate the salary for this position to be in the range of AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role offers opportunities for career advancement and professional growth in a dynamic and supportive environment.
