The role of Senior Financial Accounting Specialist has arisen in our finance team in Macquarie Park, Sydney, following an internal promotion. As a key member, you will play a vital part in driving improvements in processes, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of stand-alone and consolidated statutory accounts.
  • Contribute to due diligence and integration of business acquisitions and disposals.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks and special projects as required.

Technical Deliverables:

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end, half-year, and year-end financial accounts.
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting standards to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the lease register and related accounting processes.
  • Assist in delivering consolidated monthly group financial results.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy.
  • Support the annual external audit process.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on market rates for a senior financial accountant in Sydney.
