About the Opportunity

Talent Focus is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Executive to join our client's dynamic team in Sydney. As a key player in our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Manage accounting operations such as accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and control.
  • Assist with grant applications and tax refunds as required by financial reporting.
  • Provide advisory support to senior management on financial matters, including investment opportunities and risk management.
  • Lead financial planning sessions and offer insights on financial performance.
  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CA qualification preferred.
  • At least 3 years of management experience in a finance role, ideally within the entertainment or media industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting, including international tax requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Xero, Excel).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
  • High level of integrity, dependability, and a results-oriented approach.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management and time management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a strong work ethic.
