Lead Communications Strategist

Transformative Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced communications leader to spearhead our strategic communication efforts.

As the Lead Communications Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with our organisational objectives. This involves creating and delivering high-quality internal and external communications, engagement support and services that meet the needs of our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of a cohesive communication strategy that supports our organisational goals.
  • Lead a team of communications professionals in delivering high-quality communication outputs that meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to promote our professional image and advance our organisational interests.
  • Ensure the accuracy, currency and accessibility of our website and intranet content.
  • Develop and deliver organisation-wide communication strategies, policies and plans to strengthen ongoing consultation and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading communications teams in complex organisations.
  • Strong understanding of Australian energy markets and regulatory environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies that drive organisational outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.

Benefits: The successful candidate will be appointed as an ongoing EL2 and may attract an additional allowance based on their skills and experience.
