About the Role

The Policy Advisor will provide high-quality and timely written and verbal advice to leadership on workforce strategy, contributing to key policy projects that build the evidence base and deliver on initiatives in the Best Start, Best Life Workforce Strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking analysis to understand trends in workforce supply and quality, and the impacts of existing policies and programs
  • Developing a range of written communication products, including slide decks, briefings, reports, and cabinet submissions
  • Using data insights to inform strategic policy development and options analysis
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to inform analysis and policy development

Achieving these objectives requires strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
