Senior Aboriginal Policy and Strategic Advisor

This is a leadership position responsible for developing and implementing policies, guidelines, and processes related to Aboriginal people in custody.
The successful candidate will lead the development of business and strategic planning processes for the Workforce and Aboriginal Outcomes division. They will also oversee the development and review of programs and support services for Aboriginal people in custody, including consultation and reporting functions.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and processes to support Aboriginal people in custody.
- Lead the development of business and strategic planning processes for the division.
- Oversee the development and review of programs and support services for Aboriginal people in custody.
- Support Aboriginal organisations delivering justice programs through contract management and working groups.
- Experience in policy development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Experience in business functions such as contract management, data collation, analysis, and reporting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal community, both society and culture, and the issues impacting it.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and work effectively with the Victorian Aboriginal community.
