Compliance Oversight Manager

BeathChapman Pte Ltd is seeking a skilled Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our esteemed international banking client. This position offers a diverse and independent role within a team of seasoned compliance and legal experts.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and play a pivotal role in advising on and managing regulatory updates, including FATCA, CRS, and BCoP, specifically for the Bank's operations in Australia and New Zealand.
- Evaluate and update the Compliance Manual, Policies & Procedures, and other relevant documents to align with current industry standards and regulatory mandates.
- Address inquiries from regulatory bodies, governmental agencies, industry organizations, or auditors.
- Facilitate training sessions to enhance understanding of compliance risks and regulatory matters among internal teams.
- Oversee and investigate customer grievances.
- Support the development and execution of a controls monitoring program to ensure robust internal controls are maintained.
- Prepare and submit regulatory documentation, reports, and returns; assist with both internal and external audits as required.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
- A minimum of 5 years of compliance experience in Australia, ideally within Banking, Regulatory Agencies, or Consulting Firms.
- Fundamental understanding of Corporate Banking regulations (ASIC, FATCA, CRS, BCoP, AFCA, etc.), along with operations and products.
- Practical experience in designing and executing compliance monitoring and testing is highly advantageous.
- Experience in internal or external auditing is beneficial.
- A tertiary degree is required; a legal qualification is a plus.
- Self-motivated and organized individual capable of managing multiple deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in speaking and writing Chinese is highly desirable.
