About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Coronary Care Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure patient and staff safety, and supervising and guiding nursing team members to deliver patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Evidence-Based Nursing Care: Provide patient-centered care, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team: Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Ensure Patient and Staff Safety: Identify and mitigate risks, promoting a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  • Supervise and Guide Nursing Team Members: Mentor and support ENs and AINs to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Deliver Education and Support: Provide patients and their families with education and support to manage their health, recovery, or end-of-life needs.
About the Company

Our hospital is a 152-bed facility offering a range of specialties, including cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and critical care. We have 9 operating theatres, an Infusion Suite, and a 24/7 Cardiac Emergency Service.

About You
  • Current Registration with AHPRA: Hold a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Post-Graduate Certificate in ICU/CCU: Possess a post-graduate certificate in intensive care or coronary care, or be working towards it.
  • Working with Children Check: Hold a valid working with children check (if relevant).
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care: Demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, adhering to ACQSHC National standards.
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service Skills: Possess excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work well independently or within a team.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Have basic computer skills, with the ability to navigate electronic medical records and other healthcare systems.
