Casual Academic Position in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences

We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified individuals to join our Casual Academic Register in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. As a Casual Academic, you will have the opportunity to teach in our undergraduate and postgraduate nursing courses, located at our Bedford Park and Renmark campuses.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching in tutorial, laboratory, or online classes
  • Marking student assessments
  • Attending topic team meetings
  • Meeting with students
  • Completing administrative and associated work
Selection Criteria

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently registered or eligible for registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Hold a current or eligible Working with Children Check from the Department of Human Services – SA Government
  • Have a postgraduate qualification in nursing (minimum Honours or Graduate Certificate)
  • Have experience in teaching and learning in your role as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills
  • Have evidence of knowledge and/or experience in relation to contemporary trends in nursing
  • Have demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in using technology such as Microsoft Office programs and interactive online technology
  • Have evidence of high-quality teaching experience at a tertiary level (desirable)
  • Hold a Graduate Diploma, Masters, or PhD in nursing or a related field (desirable)
