Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at GenesisCare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering best practice services in medical oncology and haematology nursing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend patient assessments and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapies, and blood transfusions with precision and care.
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends.
  • Provide comprehensive patient education and empower patients to take an active role in their care.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, haematologists, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless care.
  • Maintain own professional development and set goals to address gaps or desired growth.
  • Maintain patient and organisational confidence by adhering to policy and procedure.
  • Contribute to the team effort by assisting with team goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carers.
  • Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate the clinical management of care.
  • Commitment to and involvement in the application of quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team member.
  • Experience in the field of oncology is desired.
