Information and Record Management Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Information and Record Management Compliance Specialist to join our team at Central Coast Council.
As a Compliance Officer for Information and Records Management, you will play a key role in ensuring the legislative, evidentiary, and organisational recordkeeping requirements of Central Coast Council are met. You will provide expert advice and assistance to ensure appropriate accessibility, protection, and preservation of records.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing support and recommendations on training, policies, standards, and procedures that drive records management best practice
- Planning, developing, and making recommendations for compliance documentation
- Contributing to the design and evolution of business systems, information repositories, and architecture
Requirements:
- Graduate Diploma in Records Management and Archives or Diploma in Recordkeeping OR equivalent demonstrated knowledge and experience
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills, including high-level customer service skills
- Demonstrated experience in applying the State Records Act 1998 and relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
- Proven experience in an advisory capacity as a records management subject matter expert

- Permanent full-time role with a 9-day fortnight
- Hybrid and flexible working conditions, including 2 days work from home and 3 days on site
