Defence Project Management Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Defence Project Lead to join our QinetiQ Air Affairs team in New South Wales.

This role will see you leading the delivery of complex defence projects, managing multiple stakeholders, and ensuring project outcomes are met. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing project plans, identifying and mitigating risks, and promoting a strong safety culture.

About the Role:
  • Lead the delivery of defence projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget results.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and open communication among stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement project management frameworks, processes, and tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in defence project management, with a strong understanding of defence contracts and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence teams.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Negotiation and commercial acumen, with experience in managing vendor relationships.
  • Eligibility for registration as a Registered Project Manager (Reg PM) and certification as a CPPP through the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).
