Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

QinetiQ, a leading defence company, is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join its team in supporting a unique defence capability.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the readiness of QinetiQ's fleet of Learjet and King Air aircraft for deployment. This includes conducting line and heavy maintenance, rectifying defects, completing engine replacements, fault finding and rectification, and ensuring checklists and documentation are complete.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on aircraft to ensure they are airworthy.
  • Defect Rectification: Identify and rectify defects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Engine Replacement: Replace engines as required to maintain the integrity of the aircraft.
  • Fault Finding: Conduct thorough fault finding and rectification to identify and resolve issues.
  • Documentation: Ensure all relevant documentation is completed and up-to-date.
  • Team Support: Provide support to the aircrew during deployments.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: A B2 Licence or extensive experience as an AME in a relevant environment.
  • Skills: Strong fault finding skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently.
  • Citizenship: Must be an Australian Citizen.
