About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Workplace Injury Recovery Specialist to join our team at Gallagher Bassett.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals who have experienced a workplace injury. As a Workplace Injury Recovery Specialist, you will deliver a personalized face-to-face service to support injured workers, employers, and treating medical practitioners in achieving early return to work outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate regular face-to-face visits with injured workers, employers, and treating health professionals to empower them to participate in the return to work process;
  • Educate stakeholders on the return to work process, legislative requirements, and premium impact;
  • Collaborate with vocational providers to achieve return to work and return to life outcomes;
  • Attend medical reviews to promote implementing strategies and early intervention;
  • Educate injured workers on utilizing specialists, services, and available support to achieve agreed return to work goals;
  • Communicate with stakeholders to develop a Work Plan (Service Plan) regarding the return to work process by negotiating strategies, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress;

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience and qualifications in injury rehabilitation, rehabilitation counseling, or workers compensation claims management;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing return to work plans using SMART principles;
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills;
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of organization;
  • A strategic mindset and approach to work;
  • A strong sense of team and collaboration;
  • A resilient attitude;

Compensation and Benefits

As a Workplace Injury Recovery Specialist at Gallagher Bassett, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
