Job DescriptionKitchen Operations

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Assisting the head chef to maintain kitchen efficiency.
  2. Preparing mise en place for all menus.
  3. Ensuring consistent high-quality food production in line with hotel standards.
  4. Preparing dishes according to established standards.
  5. Managing stock rotation and minimizing waste.
  6. Complying with WHS and food safety regulations.
  7. Providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest feedback is addressed.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. At least 1 year of experience as a Demi Chef in a hotel or restaurant with high food quality standards.
  2. Ability to operate various kitchen equipment and practice sound cooking techniques.
  3. Completion of a Chef Apprenticeship or Certificate in commercial cookery.
  4. Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety, including safe knife skills.
  5. Experience in different cooking methods.
  6. Availability to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
