Payroll and HR Specialist Role

We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our team in a challenging environment.

  • This role involves managing the end-to-end payroll process, including employee onboarding, superannuation contributions, salary packaging, and terminations.
  • You will also be responsible for processing weekly payments for a large number of employees, maintaining payroll master data information, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to interpret and implement changes to payroll systems and processes
  • Excellent communication and computer literacy skills

Benefits:

  • Competitive remuneration package ranging from $85,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role

This is a high-volume, complex environment with multiple awards & agreements. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the organisation's payroll, HR policies and procedures and onboarding process.

Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-end payroll function including managing new starters, superannuation, salary packaging and terminations
  2. Use Timesheet management through Employment Hero
  3. Processing weekly payments for 250 payroll colleagues
  4. Managing superannuation contribution
  5. Calculating payroll related statutory requirements
  6. Maintenance of payroll master data information
  7. Building trusted partnerships with cross functional stakeholders such as Finance and Operations
  8. Providing exceptional customer service & support to employees regarding pay queries & concerns

Human Resources Coordination:

  • Onboarding process (to be automated)
  • Recruitment administration
  • Preparation of employment contracts
  • Assist in managing HR policies and procedures
  • Learning management system management

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience gained in a similar environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to interpret and adhere to awards
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid computer literacy skills
