Job Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's quality assurance systems to ensure compliance with international food safety standards.

  • Conduct internal audits, manage non-conformances, and drive implementation of corrective actions.
  • Maintain and review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure they align with safety protocols.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Collaborate across departments to support consistent product quality and process efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation to support audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Promote a culture of food safety through training and regular audits.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable certifications.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to align on quality objectives.
  • Analyse trends and quality data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate staff training in food safety procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in food science or related discipline with a focus on food safety.

Minimum 5 years' experience in quality assurance roles within food manufacturing environments.

Strong working knowledge of FSANZ, HACCP, ISO 9001, and regulatory compliance frameworks.

Demonstrated experience managing audits and non-conformance investigations.

High attention to detail with excellent organisational and analytical skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
