Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team as a Commercial Lawyer. This role will provide the opportunity to work in a dynamic and highly regulated environment, where you will be responsible for providing clear, commercially-focused legal advice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including service contracts and licensing arrangements.
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory obligations, including consumer credit, data privacy, AML/CTF, IP, and competition laws.
  • Support product development and go-to-market initiatives by ensuring compliance from inception through launch.
  • Advise on governance policies, compliance programs, and internal procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Work with external counsel and regulatory bodies on complex matters.
Requirements:
  • 3-6 years PQE in-house or in private practice, with experience in fintech, payments, or consumer finance.
  • Strong understanding of Australian financial services law and regulation.
  • Proven contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to balance risk with strategic priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
