About the Role

An exciting opportunity to contribute to standards development at Standards Australia, empowering Australia's communities through trusted solutions.

The Committee Manager/Project Manager role is to manage all aspects of standards development, including technical committee management and facilitating the development of standards within agreed criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development of standards and related documents through stakeholder input and project management methodologies.
  • Establish and maintain project plans and information, including risks, scope, size, and timelines.
  • Deliver projects within agreed parameters, ensuring quality, schedule, and scope are met.
  • Plan and organize meetings, prepare and distribute necessary documentation, and achieve consensus through negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Build and support working relationships with project stakeholders and uphold the Standards Australia brand.
  • Establish new committees, review membership, and ensure stakeholder and committee records are current.
  • Promote Australian participation in international standards development and manage international experts and projects.
  • Participate in team and departmental activities to drive continuous improvement.

About You

We're looking for someone with relevant tertiary qualifications and/or applied industry experience, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and consensus-based outcomes.
