About the Role

The Product Owner will play a pivotal role in managing product development and delivering roadmap initiatives at Standards Australia. This position will be instrumental in bringing products from concept to launch and into lifecycle management, utilizing applied design thinking, agile, and lean practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address key challenges
  • Take ownership of delivering the strategic product direction, supported by clear rationale and robust insights
  • Lead the creation and presentation of key artefacts, including product strategy
  • Work closely with user experience specialists, visual designers, and editors
  • Understand system and platform capabilities, and effectively communicate this information to others
  • Manage communication during solution releases, ensuring stakeholder alignment on development progress, scope, and any obstacles
  • Take ownership of features by embracing the Product Owner role as defined in Standards Australia's agile methodology
  • Be familiar with agile delivery and provide vision and direction to the development team and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum of two years of experience managing digital products, with a proven track record of working with engineering and UX/UI teams to deliver software. You will also need to be technically fluent in digital technologies, have experience working in agile delivery, and possess strong presentation skills and experience creating features/epics in Jira. Additionally, you will need to be familiar with roadmap development and have a demonstrated understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
