About the Role

Standards Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Manager to lead our software engineering team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving internal and external software development and testing practices, architecture, and application support. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the software engineering team to achieve their best by creating a high-performance culture
  • Work with product owners and delivery managers to plan and execute projects
  • Establish accurate estimates for timelines and ensure projects meet deadlines
  • Drive the software development lifecycle by managing and coordinating resources and continuously deploying high-quality releases
  • Establish modern software development practices, including agile, CI/CD pipelines, code management, and peer reviews
  • Establish reliable application testing practices using a mix of automation and other techniques
  • Manage the performance of offshore and vendor teams, ensuring consistency of work output and high levels of engagement
  • Develop a consistent and high-quality solution architecture practice
  • Develop and manage a high-performing application support team
  • Develop and maintain a wide range of technical capabilities in the team, including full-stack development, Salesforce, Mulesoft, and Native App development
  • Help design and develop high-quality solutions with customer-centricity and cost-effectiveness in mind
  • Manage the team by facilitating formal employee performance reviews, administering short- to medium-term objectives, and providing regular ad-hoc feedback
  • Attract talent, motivate the team, and keep them highly engaged

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced software engineering professional with a strong track record of leading software engineering teams. You will have a proven leadership experience using modern practices and tools, including extensive exposure to full-stack software engineering, solution architecture, quality assurance, and testing. You will also have strong management experience with a record of attracting and growing great teams.
