Key Role in Accounting and Finance

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with monthly/quarterly financial reporting, preparing budgets and forecasting, and completing year-end financial accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monthly/quarterly financial reporting
  • Prepare budgets and forecasting
  • Complete year-end financial accounts
  • Complete and post monthly standing journals to general ledger
  • Assist with compliance returns including the BAS return and the Australian Bureau of Statistics
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for specified accounts within the general ledger and sub-ledgers
  • Assist with petty cash reconciliations, investigate and resolve any site banking discrepancies as required
  • Support the maintenance of the Asset register

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Finance/Accounting with accounting experience
  • Experience with computerised accounting systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs, including advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial reports, amend discrepancies
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
