About the Role
The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking experienced Laboratory Demonstrators/Tutors to join our Biomedical Science program on the Broadway Campus in Sydney. We are looking for sessional academic staff members with subject matter expertise in the following areas:
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Scientific writing and literacy
- Chemistry
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratories/tutorials to the standard of the Program.
- Consultation with students in relation to activities, practicals, weekly topics and upcoming assessments.
- Assisting with assessment administration, such as marking, entering results and providing feedback to students as required.
- Attend meetings as required by the Course Coordinator/Program Coordinator.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Qualified to at least one AQF qualification level higher than the course of study being taught, or with equivalent professional experience. A minimum of an undergraduate qualification.
- Knowledge and understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in the relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to empathise with students.
