Job Description

The School of Health Sciences at The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Laboratory Demonstrators/Tutors for our Biomedical Science program on the Broadway Campus in Sydney. We are looking for sessional academic staff members with subject matter expertise in Anatomy and Physiology, Scientific Writing and Literacy, and Chemistry.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratories/tutorials to the standard of the Program.
  • Consultation with students in relation to activities, practicals, weekly topics, and upcoming assessments.
  • Assisting with assessment administration, such as marking, entering results, and providing feedback to students as required.
  • Attend meetings as required by the Course Coordinator/Program Coordinator.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Qualified to at least one AQF qualification level higher than the course of study being taught, or with equivalent professional experience. A minimum of an undergraduate qualification.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in the relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to empathize with students.
