Swim Instructor

Join Canterbury Bankstown Council as a Swim School Instructor and contribute to the development of our community's aquatic programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to children and adults, promoting water safety and confidence in the water.
About the Role:- Deliver swimming lessons in line with Council's Swim School Instructor Manual.
- Ensure the safe setup and packing of equipment.
- Participate in Swim School Team Member in-house training.
- Demonstrate proficiency in swimming 25m Freestyle, 25m Backstroke, and 25m Breaststroke.
- Teach children in a group class environment.
- Exhibit excellent verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Hold a current Working With Children Check Clearance number.
- Hold a current Swim Teacher accreditation from a recognized provider.
- Hold a current CPR certificate.
- Meet COVIDSafe requirements.
- $35/hour + 10.5% super.
- Penalty rates earned on weekends.
- Opportunity to apply for higher hourly pay rate after 12 months of employment.
