Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and production of high-quality dishes across a variety of outlets.
- Taking ownership for your workstation – keeping on top of supplies, equipment, and waste ensuring mise en place and service requirements are met.
- Being cleaner than clean to meet or exceed local cleanliness and HACCP requirements.
- Work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and consistency.
- Contribute to menu development, daily specials, and new dish ideas.
- Collaborate with the demi chef, chef de partie, and sous chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage a section independently or with minimal supervision.
- A passion for food, quality, and continuous learning.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during busy service periods.
- The flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
