This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned structural engineering professional to join our national team and contribute to the growth and success of our business.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading building design projects, working across multi-discipline teams, providing technical guidance to team members, and delivering quality solutions to clients. Additionally, experience in client-facing roles, contributing to pursuits, and demonstrating commercial acumen are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality structural design on significant building projects;
  • Proactively manage selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, ensuring the integrity of the overall design, and collaborating with other design disciplines;
  • Seek new opportunities with clients through project work by building on and/or creating new working relationships;
  • Provide direction to the project team, promoting awareness of technical and commercial risk, mitigation strategies, and best value design options;
  • Collaborate with other teams in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment;

Qualifications & Experience:


First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. You are a senior structural engineering professional with strong industry ties and demonstrated credibility in a design consulting environment. You will come to us with:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading structural design for buildings, including across commercial, residential, industrial, and/or transport sectors. Experience in data centres, social infrastructure, and defence is also highly desirable;
  • Substantial experience using ETABS, RAPT, and SPACEGASS (or similar) design software; additional demonstration of other program knowledge would be useful;
  • Demonstrated technical, commercial, and delivery acumen, managing inter-disciplinary design interfaces and/or projects;
  • Ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating, and delegation skills;
  • Proven experience in delivery of medium to large-scale projects to clients through all project phases;
  • Engineering degree with Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation; post-graduate qualifications are required;
  • 10–20 years consulting industry experience.
