Key Role: Director of Education and Training

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of psychiatric education and training in Australia and New Zealand.

The role involves leading the development and delivery of innovative programs, strategies, and policies across both countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the education department, fostering a collaborative culture that ensures contemporary, inclusive, sustainable, and responsive education programs.
  • Drive innovation and positioning psychiatry as a profession of choice through contemporary learning and development.
  • Embed lived experience into education programs, expanding their impact alongside the cultural safety framework and bi-national focus.

As the successful candidate, you will have extensive experience working within large organisations and demonstrable experience in governance, accreditation, and change management. You should also have a strong understanding of postgraduate assessment processes and regulatory frameworks shaping professional education.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in medicine or a related field.
  • Registration as a medical practitioner in Australia or New Zealand.
  • Extensive experience working in large education or training organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience in governance, accreditation, and change management.
