Psychiatric Service Leader

The Lead Consultant Psychiatrist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality psychiatric services to two key programs: Adult Rehabilitation and Mental Health and Wellbeing. This position involves close collaboration with the Manager/Team Leader to ensure exceptional service delivery within a robust clinical governance framework.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert psychiatric services to the aforementioned programs as required.
- Maintain exceptionally high standards of service within a comprehensive clinical governance framework, focusing on excellence, safety, care, staff performance, cost-effectiveness, research, and education.
- Mental Health Specialist Services: Forensic services, Family Violence specialists, Social and Emotional Wellbeing Team, Families where a Parent has a Mental Illness (FaPMI) team, and Personality Disorder Clinical Specialists.
- Brief Intervention Team (BIT) and HOPE.
- Community Care Team.
- Requirements: Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or an equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification.
