Human Resource Officer Role Overview

This role supports the delivery of end-to-end people services, contributing to the implementation and administration of human resource systems, policies, and processes across the employee lifecycle.

  • Support HR Business Partner in day-to-day operations including recruitment, onboarding, induction, learning and development, and offboarding.
  • Maintain and update employee records, registers, qualifications, and training logs across HRIS and filing systems.
  • Assist in administering probation, performance review, and disciplinary processes according to organisational procedures.
  • Respond to general HR queries and provide timely, accurate information to managers and employees.
  • Maintain and manage HR templates, forms, workflows, and process documents.
Additional Responsibilities

The successful candidate will also:

  • Coordinate job advertisements, shortlisting, interview scheduling, and reference checks as required.
  • Ensure compliance with pre-employment screening, including police checks, NDIS Worker Screening, Blue Cards, and mandatory training modules.
  • Support smooth onboarding and induction of new employees, including preparation of onboarding kits and system access.
  • Monitor expiry of staff qualifications, licences, and mandatory training and coordinate renewals or follow-up.
  • Provide support for HR projects, including policy reviews, workforce planning, and staff engagement activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma qualification in Human Resource Management or a related discipline (or working toward).
  • Prior experience in a human resources, administration, or compliance role is preferred.
