Job Opportunity

The HumeLink West project is a significant infrastructure undertaking that requires the installation of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning approximately 140km from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new substation at Gugaa.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing strong focus on cost forecasting and budgeting, establishing project baseline costs, producing regular financial reports, maintaining risk registers to include change impacts, and monitoring actual costs against budgets.

The role necessitates collaboration with the PCM for compiling and submitting client progress claims.

The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, engineering, finance or similar, minimum 5 years of practical experience on major infrastructure projects, and demonstrated expertise with cost management tools.

  • Main Responsibilities: Provide strong focus on cost forecasting and budgeting
  • Establish and monitor project baseline costs
  • Produce regular financial reports
  • Maintain risk registers to include change impacts
  • Monitor and report on actual costs vs budgets
  • Collaborate with the PCM for compiling and submitting client progress claims
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, engineering, finance or similar
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience on major infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated expertise with cost management tools (Excel, SAP, Power BI, SharePoint, JDE)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills, coupled with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment
