Cost Management SpecialistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Cost Management Specialist to join our team in delivering a major infrastructure project. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with strong cost management skills and experience working on large-scale projects.Key Responsibilities:
  • Trend and forecast costs accurately
  • Establish and maintain project baseline budgets
  • Produce regular end-of-month cost reports
  • Monitor and report on actuals versus budget
  • Liaise with the Project Cost Manager to compile and submit client progress claims

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, engineering, finance or similar field
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in cost management on major infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using cost management tools, such as Excel, SAP, Power BI and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
