Financial Partner

We are seeking an accomplished Financial Partner to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

You will be responsible for supporting and providing financial analysis to assist in value-added decision making for Operations.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with strong knowledge of the food manufacturing industry and the operational functions relating to manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and sales.

You will have experience in technical accounting, financial variance analysis, and lean accounting, as well as CA/CPA qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing Improvements: Conduct regular and proactive analysis to provide recommendations for improvements that align to business strategy and continuous improvement objectives
  • Operational Performance: Analyze operational performance and expenditure, including conversion costs, machine and labour efficiency, and waste, providing actionable insight
  • Reporting: Work with Site Managers & Senior Business Analyst to review and conduct gap analysis of operational reporting
  • Commercial Planning: Lead the sites' commercial planning & reporting activities, including development of factory budgets, performance outlook, month-end analysis & commentary on key drivers
  • Continuous Improvement: Support Operations Continuous Improvement initiatives through financial validation and tracking, focusing on labour and waste analysis
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum three (3) years professional experience in technical accounting, financial variance analysis, and lean accounting
  • CA/CPA qualifications or studying towards
  • Strong knowledge of the food manufacturing industry and the operational functions relating to manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, and sales, with special focus on the dairy industry
  • Knowledge of operation and financial systems and information required to provide support for all aspects of the FMCG business
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
  • The ability to turn data into information to drive real value creating commercial insight
