Job Overview

This role plays a key part in enhancing the company's financial crime risk management frameworks and policies.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Crime Strategy and Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring that systems, policies, and processes effectively manage AML/CTF risk.

This is a hands-on policy-focused position with scope to influence strategy, support senior leaders, and shape the financial crime narrative.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the maintenance and enhancement of the AML/CTF Program, policy framework, and related documentation.
  • Manage governance and reporting processes, including board and committee submissions, action tracking, and meeting coordination.
  • Conduct enterprise and supplementary risk assessments, providing input on the AML/CTF treatment of products, services, and processes.
  • Analyse risk data and performance metrics to generate insights and recommendations supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the use of risk management systems (e.g. TRACS) for control testing, issue management, and incident tracking.
  • Provide expert advice and support to internal stakeholders, contributing to internal and external reviews of financial crime frameworks.

Qualifications:

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Extensive experience in AML/CTF compliance roles (Line 1 or Line 2).
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CTF Act, Rules, and Program requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting and maintaining policy and governance documentation.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including board/committee reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with risk systems.
