We have an opportunity for a Legal Settlement Specialist based in our Brisbane office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for representing us at settlement conferences and developing strategies that facilitate early and effective settlement negotiations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing the company at settlement conferences, including Compulsory Conferences, and significantly contributing to the achievement of better than industry claim outcomes.
  • Developing and implementing strategies that facilitate early and effective settlement negotiations resulting in fair outcomes for all customers.
  • Supporting all Long Tail business to accurately assess entitlement and risk, working with individuals and teams to advise on and facilitate effective negotiations.
  • Providing high-quality, customer-focused, commercially oriented settlement advice and action.

Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience in Insurance/financial services (specific experience in the QLD CTP personal injury sector will be highly regarded).
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
  • Extensive technical experience in a personal injury claims business, and proven ability to develop successful claims strategies.
  • Sound business acumen, business planning, data management experience.
