Job Overview

The Tribunal Coordinator role plays a pivotal part in preparing and validating referrals of workers' compensation claims from insurers to the Medical Assessment Tribunal against relevant legislation.

This position necessitates strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate and manage referrals from Queensland workers' compensation insurers against relevant legislation.
  • Prepare materials for tribunal hearings across multiple specialty areas.
  • Provide technical advice and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Ensure information provided to the tribunal is complete, procedurally fair, and that the tribunal's reasons show a clear path of reasoning.
  • Maintain and manage an allocated caseload from referral to final outcome.
  • Ensure legislative requirements are met and support the tribunal with timely information and documentation.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Practical experience interpreting and applying workers' compensation or similar legislation.
  • Experience in customer service and complaints management.
  • Experience in managing caseloads in a process-driven environment.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and negotiate while maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Practical experience in word processing, data entry, or electronic file management.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage timeframes, and multi-task to meet deadlines.
