High-Level Leadership and Advisory Role Job Description

In this high-profile leadership position, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and advice to senior stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that legislation is adhered to and statutory timeframes are met.

You will work closely with Tribunal Chairs and members to draft hearing outcomes and decisions. This will involve reviewing material put forward by referees and providing specialist advice on building and development decisions.

Your role will also involve leading and managing the Development Tribunals team, including selecting referees, organizing hearings, and reviewing draft appeal decisions.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing Cabinet approval processes for the appointment of new and recurring referees, as well as handling Right to Information requests and complaints responses.

You will provide written and verbal advice, information, interpretations, briefings, and reports to key stakeholders, including the Minister, Director-General, and local government representatives.

In addition, you will be responsible for implementing process reviews and technological improvements to enhance service delivery to the Queensland public.
